Sora is OpenAI’s text-to-video model, known for the highest photorealism and the longest single coherent clips among frontier video models. As of 2026 it can generate up to ~60 seconds. Access is gated behind ChatGPT Plus/Pro and availability fluctuates, so many creators pair it with Runway as a reliable fallback.

- In ChatGPT, open the Sora composer (or go to sora.com and log in with your ChatGPT account).
- Pick "Video" → "Text-to-Video", or "Remix" to riff off a published public clip.
- Type a detailed 30–80 word prompt: subject, motion, camera move, lens/length, lighting, style. Sora rewards cinematic direction.
- Choose duration: 5s / 10s / 15s / 20s; Pro tier unlocks up to 60s on select scenes.
- Generate, review 2–3 candidates, "Extend" the best, then export up to 1080p (Pro).
